Questions families ask

If yours isn't here, write us at hello@brainhealthyhomeandgarden.com. We read everything.

Do you sell anything besides the assessment?
No. Vendors pay us nothing. The assessment fee is our only revenue.
What does the sensor kit measure?
Light, air quality, and sound. Consumer-grade instruments — indicative, not laboratory-certified. We are explicit about that on every report.
Do you measure my family?
No. We measure your environment only. No cameras. No motion sensors. No wearables. Ever.
Why do you ask so little about each person?
Because we only need enough to model how each person actually uses the home. Name, age, daily rhythm, rooms they use most, anything you'd like us to know. We are not a clinic and not a diagnostic intake. The shorter the form, the better.
Is my data private?
Yes. Raw sensor data is yours. We delete it after delivery unless you opt into our anonymized benchmark dataset. We do not share, rent, or sell your information.
What is the anonymized benchmark dataset?
Optional. If you opt in, we keep the numeric scores from your home (no name, no address) so we can give future families comparisons like "your bedroom is quieter than 73% of Austin homes we've measured." Decline freely — the assessment is identical either way.
Do I need to renovate?
No. Many recommendations are free or low-cost — furniture moves, lighting schedules, plant additions, HVAC service, simple behavioral shifts. Bigger recommendations get vendor introductions. You decide what to do.
Do you work outside Austin?
Standard tier yes — the workflow is remote-friendly with shipped sensors and a virtual results call. Concierge tier is Austin and surrounding communities only in Year 1.
How long does the whole thing take?
About five weeks from intake to delivered microsite. Implementation with vendor partners is a separate timeline driven by what you choose to pursue.
Do I need floorplans?
No. Most homeowners don't have current digital floorplans. We capture the sequence of spaces and distances between them through a guided form. No drawing required.
What about pets?
They benefit too. The same eight pathways affect them. We will note pets in the intake but don't score them separately.
Will insurance cover any of this?
No. This is not a medical service. Some HSAs may cover related interventions (air filtration, for example) but the assessment itself is not a covered expense.
What if my house has issues I don't want surfaced?
Everything stays between us. Reports are private to you. We do not file with any authority. We do not report to insurers or municipalities. If we find something serious (dangerous air quality, for example) we will tell you plainly and recommend qualified professionals.
